Here at Maven Collective Marketing, we love the holidays. But for more reasons than you’d think! Learn about the the Maven Collective Marketing Paying it Forward Initiative.
As November rolls around, three things come to mind. First, how the heck is it already November? I’m still getting used to the idea that summer is over . . . Second, no really, how is it November? I know I say this every year, but this year feels like it’s just flown by. Third, the holidays are coming, woohoo! Mulled cider anyone?
We at Maven Collective Marketing love the holiday season and the traditions that come with it. From cookie exchanges and Christmas parties to Gingerbread Houses and Gluhwein (yes please!), we’re all in. However, there is one tradition that we are particularly proud to be upholding: the Maven Collective Marketing Paying it Forward Initiative.
“Paying it Forward”
Living and working in Vancouver and British Columbia’s Sea-to-Sky corridor, we are spoiled with stunning scenery, wonderful communities and a high standard of living. And while our day-to-day can be hectic and overwhelming, we never take this for granted. That’s why we started our MCM Annual Paying it Forward Initiative.
Through this initiative, Maven Collective Marketing donates to local, national and international organizations working hard to make the world a better place to live, for everyone. This year, the organizations selected for the MCM Annual Paying it Forward Initiative are:
Plan International
Plan International is “an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances children’s rights and equality for girls”. You may recognize them from their “Because I am a Girl” initiative” advocating girls’ rights as human rights.
The Nature Conservancy
The aim of the Nature Conservancy is to “conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends”. Their priorities include food and water sustainability, the protection of land and water, the prevention of Climate Change, and the development of healthy and happy cities.
Howe Sound Women’s Centre
The Howe Sound Women’s Centre is a local organization dedicated to the prevention of violence against women and the support of women and children affected by violence or abuse. The Centre “provides a transition house and safe home for women and children who are leaving abusive relationships or at risk of experiencing violence and otherwise unsafe living conditions, support, resources, referrals and advocacy.”
WE Charity
WE Charity is “an international charity that partners with communities through a holistic, sustainable development model that equips families with the tools and skills they need to lift themselves out of poverty.”
Fistula Foundation
